The EZB is a huge directory of electronic journals which mirrors the central Max Planck Society subscriptions as well as the local licensing situation of the institutes. Access rights to the contents of the individual journals are indicated with “traffic lights”. Entries are searchable on journal level.
ERIC indexes a wide variety journal sources. The coverage of an approved journal source is determined by an examination of three to five current issues during the source review process. RoMEO is a searchable database of publisher’s policies regarding the self- archiving of journal articles on the web and in Open Access repositories.RoMEO contains publishers’ general policies on self-archiving of journal articles and certain conference series. Journals Published by Virginia Tech Libraries
From a 1988 request by a Virginia Tech faculty member to begin a new scholarly journal and another request to establish a university press, grew the Digital Library and Archives. It was envisioned that the university could use a rapidly maturing technology base to establish a place where new scholarly works could be published but without the capital outlay that would be required to begin a print-based publishing operation. Since the would-be faculty editors were not necessarily the ones well versed in the technology, an obvious need existed for support services.
