Electronic Journals Library

The EZB is a huge directory of electronic journals which mirrors the central Max Planck Society subscriptions as well as the local licensing situation of the institutes. Access rights to the contents of the individual journals are indicated with “traffic lights”. Entries are searchable on journal level.

The objective of Listing of Open Access DataBases (LOADB) is to create a web-enabled, linked, classified and categorized collection of Open Access Databases which one can access from a single portal. Although initial focus is on science and technology subjects, the ultimate aim is to include all subject areas.

British Library Electronic Resources

Licensed and recommended free databases, indexing and abstracting services, and full-text reference resources. Search articles, ebooks and other eresources available at the Library of Congress using Primo Central, the Library’s web scale discovery service.

U.S. State Agency Databases  
In every US State and the District of Columbia, agencies are creating databases of useful information – information on businesses, licensed professionals, plots of land, even dates of fish stocking. Some of this content is available on search engines, but much of it is part of the invisible web. Since July 2007, librarians and other government information specialists have been working on identifying and annotating these databases in one place.

Max Planck Society. Institutes of the Max Planck Society   
MPG Resource Navigator is a web application to navigate through scientific information resources available to staff and guests of the Max Planck Society. It includes licensed databases, digital collections, and reference works. In addition, recommendable retrieval tools available on the web free of charge are part of the collection. Moreover, almost all Max Planck Institute library catalogs, as well as selected external ones, are accessible from here.

Alliance of German Science Organisations  
After establishing the Priority Initiative “Digital Information” of the Alliance of German Science Organisations the DFG-funded national licenses were transferred in this context (the field of ” National licensing ” ) and developed as “Alliance licenses”. The focus of these alliance licenses is the acquisition of dynamic products (ongoing journals, databases and e-books) for the basic scientific requirements, often with interdisciplinary character. For the procurement of Allianz licenses were own standards and acquisition principles (AL-Gundsätze, 2010) defined and a model license worked out.

World Legal Information Institute Databases   
The World Legal Information Institute (WorldLII) is a free, independent and non-profit global legal research facility developed collaboratively by the following Legal Information Institutes and other organisations. WorldLII provides a single search facility for databases located on the following Legal Information Institutes: AustLII; BAILII; CanLII; HKLII; LII (Cornell); and PacLII.

New York University Database
